MID-ATLANTIC

McKenzie Brown, McDonogh (Md.)

Brown put her speed and skills on display to help the Eagles to a 12-6 win over Georgetown Visitation (D.C.). in their season opener Saturday. The senior defender was huge on the draw circle helping to gain possession. She had five caused turnovers to pace the defense and created and won 50/50 balls. What makes her so valuable is her ability to quickly create transition offense off turnovers or saves. Brown is committed to Northwestern.

Also notable: Maura Irish, Episcopal (Pa.); Quinn Murray, Georgetown Visitation (D.C.); Reed Pinkin, McDonogh (Md.); Quinn Whitaker, Episcopal (Pa.)

SOUTH

McKenzey Craig, Plant (Fla.)

Even though Craig’s minutes have been limited as coach Jayne Chapman tries to utilize her reserves, she continues to post impressive stats. So far this year, the senior has scored 30 goals and added 24 assists. She recently had two of her best performances, notching a four-goal, five-assist effort against Alonso (Fla.), and a four-goal, three-assist line against Paul VI (Va.). Craig is committed to Johns Hopkins.

Also notable: Mallie Selph, Newsome (Fla.); Lia Stetler, IMG Academy (Fla.)
