State Tournaments Bring 4 Teams into Nike/USA Lacrosse H.S. Boys' Top 25

State tournament success was the deciding factor in four new teams joining the latest Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25.

Staples (Conn.), Baldwinsville (N.Y.) and Delbarton (N.J.) all made late pushes into the rankings by winning state titles. Victor (N.Y.) made a run to the title game and ultimately fell, but its showing was more than enough for inclusion in the ranks.

Staples defeated a strong Fairfield Prep (Conn.) squad for its title. Baldwinsville extended its winning streak to 13 games with its state championship. Delbarton (N.J.) edged previously ranked Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) in triple overtime for the Non-Public A state tournament title and a spot in the Top 25.

With New Jersey, New York and several Midwest Region states now done, only a few scattered states are left to finish up tournament play. The next rankings will be the final ones for the spring.
