Every Tuesday during the high school lacrosse season, USA Lacrosse updates Regional Top 10 and National Top 25 rankings to reflect the results of the previous week. Below are the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ Regional Top 10 updates through games played April 30.

Wilton (Conn.) moves into the Northeast Region rankings after heating up in recent weeks. The first seven teams are in the same spots after flawless weeks, led by unblemished St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) and Manhasset (N.Y.). Ward Melville (N.Y.) continues to streak and climbed another spot. Victor (N.Y.) won another cross-region matchup to inch up one spot in the region.

There’s a new No. 1 at the top of the Mid-Atlantic rankings with Lawrenceville (N.J.) now in the mix. They come in with wins over Calvert Hall (Md.), Malvern Prep (Pa.), previous Mid-Atlantic No. 1 Haverford (Pa.) and previous Northeast No. 1 Brunswick (Conn.). Lawrenceville’s inclusion knocked out Malvern, which Haverford beat for the second time this season. Boys’ Latin (Md.) — the only team to beat Lawrenceville this year — picked up another huge win that pushed Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) down, but failed to climb themselves after dangerous Calvert Hall (Md.) upended the Lakers later in the week.

Lawrenceville, which allows post-graduates in other sports, is not using them in boys’ lacrosse under third-year coach Jon Posner, and that makes them eligible for our rankings.

Most of the South Region is deep into the playoffs. The Top 10 remains exactly as a week before with each of the Florida and Georgia teams putting together runs to advance in the playoffs. They can keep their rankings or even climb by closing out the season at the top of their class. Texas squads await their playoff seeds.

Culver Academy (Ind.) finished out its regular season with a win to lead a Midwest Region that saw numerous changes. Three losses dropped St. Xavier (Ohio) plenty while streaking Forest Hills Central (Mich.) and Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) leaped into the rankings. So did Benilde-St. Margaret’s (Minn.) thanks to a perfect start to their season.

The West Region kept its first five in position, but Corona del Mar (Calif.) propelled itself into the middle of the rankings with a big win over No. 1 St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.). A major streak by Jesuit Portland (Ore.) landed them back in the rankings as well. Playoffs fever is rising with teams looking to round into form for the long run.
