WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Tewaaraton Foundation is pleased to announce the five women’s finalists for the 2023 Tewaaraton Award. The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. These 10 student-athletes will be invited to Washington, D.C., for the annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony on June 1.
“We are incredibly proud of these talented student-athletes,” said Tewaaraton Foundation President Andy Phillips. “They've given us memorable performances and have distinguished themselves as the best in college lacrosse. It's with great excitement that we look forward to hosting them at the Tewaaraton Ceremony on June 1.”
On the women’s side, 2022 Tewaaraton finalist and 2023 ACC Attacker of the Year Meaghan Tyrrell (Syracuse) and 2021 Tewaaraton finalist and 2023 B1G Attacker of the Year Izzy Scane (Northwestern) return to the Tewaaraton Award ceremony. They are joined by first-team All-B1G attacker Erin Coykendall (Northwestern), first-team All-ACC attacker Jenn Medjid (Boston College) and AAC Attacker of the Year Isabella Peterson (James Madison).
