1. It was a Wednesday with a few marquee women’s matchups.
The game of the day was newly crowned No. 1 Syracuse hosting No. 6 Stony Brook, and while the teams traded scores in an exciting first half, the Orange pulled away in the second half to improve to 10-0.
Syracuse’s stars came to play, as Emma Ward had one goal and seven assists and Megan Carney had six goals. Emma Tyrrell went for four goals and two assists. Stony Brook’s Morgan Mitchell was sensational with a career-high seven goals.

2. Wednesday’s lone Division I men’s game was a 16-9 win for North Carolina against High Point.
Logan McGovern was the game’s star, going for three goals and four assists on a night when the Tar Heels got goals from 12 players. Jack VanOverbeke scored three times for High Point, which didn’t have enough offense to keep up.
3. Liberty is the new unanimous No. 1 in the MCLA Division I Coaches Poll.
The Flames were second last week but beat two top 10 opponents to move into the top position. They earned all 27 first-place votes.
Rhode Island held firm at No. 1 in the MCLA Division II Coaches Poll, even strengthening its hold on the spot after getting all 27 first-place votes for the first time this season.
4. Both Boston College Club and Vermont Club remained No. 1 in their respective WCLA polls.
BC Club is one of three remaining undefeated teams in WCLA Division I, and the Eagles have yet to be knocked from their perch.
The same can be said for Vermont, which is undefeated in Division II and has yet to be challenged for No. 1.
5. In NAIA news, Keiser (Fla.) garnered all eight first-place votes to stay No. 1 in the Coaches Poll.
Indiana Tech held strong at No. 2, and Reinhardt (Ga.) jumped two spots up from No. 5 to join them in the top three.
