Six goals and five assists in the second game of the season? Against Maryland? Yeah, Meaghan Tyrrell very much earned her Tewaaraton Award finalist nod last spring.
Army has earned recent buzz thanks to the exploits of midfielder Brigid Duffy. But lest we forget her classmate, Allison Reilly. She had nine goals and three assists on April 22 against Navy, showing out in the only rivalry game that matters at West Point.
Are we surprised to see Izzy Scane here? She dropped 10 goals on Notre Dame on February 16, an early glimpse as to the dominance she would continue all season.
Sam Thacker, the IWLCA Defender of the Year, was a one woman wrecking crew against Marquette, totaling five ground balls and six caused turnovers on April 29.
Kenny DeJohn has been the Digital Content Editor at USA Lacrosse since 2019. First introduced to lacrosse in 2016 as a Newsday Sports reporter on Long Island (yes, ON Long Island), DeJohn specializes in women's game coverage. His search for New York quality pizza in Baltimore is ongoing.
