EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary’s University head men’s lacrosse coach Tom Gravante will not return next season, announced today by Director of Athletics Lynne Robinson.

“Tom has had a tremendous impact on Mount St. Mary’s University and our men’s lacrosse program for the past 28 years,” Robinson said. “We are grateful for the leadership he has provided and for the positive impact he has made in the lives of the many young men he has coached throughout the years. Tom enriched the proud tradition of our men’s lacrosse program, and our program is stronger because of him.”

Appointed to the position in 1995, Gravante coached 28 seasons at the Mount, going 178-245 during that span. With 117 conference victories, teams under his watch won eight regular season and tournament titles, resulting in five postseason appearances.

A national search for the next coach will commence immediately.
