ATLANTA — The top six teams, led by Brigham Young for the third week at No. 1, have remained the same in the MCLA Division I New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll, which released Wednesday.

The Cougars (9-0) were idle this week but have four conference games in the span of nine days to cap off the regular season, starting with No. 11 Colorado (6-3) on Thursday followed by No. 23 Colorado State (7-3) on Saturday. BYU was awarded 18 of the 27 first-place votes this week.

No. 2 Virginia Tech (12-1) rolled over Clemson this past weekend, setting up a showdown with No. 16 Tennessee (9-1) for the top seed out of the ALC South on Saturday. The Hokies took the remaining nine first-place votes.

Texas (12-0) checks in at No. 3 again and is a home win over Texas A&M away from posting a perfect regular season and snatching the top seed out of the LSA South. The Longhorns are followed by No. 4 Chapman (10-2).

Utah Valley (6-2), which will also face Colorado and CSU this week, rounds out the top five. Liberty (9-4) is the final member of the static six.

Georgia (5-7) left the poll again this week to make way for the re-emergence of No. 23 Arizona (5-4). The Wildcats vaulted into the Top 25 thanks to a road win over No. 20 Cal Poly (8-4).
