Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Bryant beat Brown for Rhode Island bragging rights.

The host Bulldogs defeated the Bears 17-12 on Tuesday to clinch the Ocean State Cup and improve to 10-3 under first-year coach Brad Ross.

Bryant led by as many as six, but Brown started the fourth quarter with four unanswered goals to pull within one. That’s when brothers Timmy and Johnny Hackett brought out some backyard lacrosse, with Timmy feeding Johnny and then Johnny returning the favor for a pair of goals to give the Bulldogs breathing room.

2. Xander Dickson aka The Slim Reaper scored his 50th goal of the season in style and Petey LaSalla set the NCAA record for career faceoffs taken as No. 3 Virginia defeated Lafayette 20-11 in a nonconference game Tuesday.

Dickson finished with four goals and four assists in a convincing road win for the Cavaliers (10-3).

3. Le Moyne fended off Adelphi 10-9 on Tuesday to claim the Northeast-10 regular season title and top seed in the upcoming conference tournament. Both teams are ranked in the top five of the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Men’s Top 20.

The host Panthers jumped out to a five-goal lead, but the top-ranked Dolphins assembled a 9-1 run spanning more than 35 minutes. Adelphi rallied late and missed several opportunities to tie the game in the last five minutes.

Sam Lambert and Joey Pezzimenti each scored three goals for Le Moyne, which finished the regular season with a perfect 14-0 record and will face either Pace or Saint Anselm in the NE-10 semifinals next Wednesday.

4.  Lincoln Memorial upset Limestone in the South Atlantic Conference quarterfinals Tuesday. Josie Tinnerello scored nine goals and Ali Van Der Ziel had eight assists in an 18-15 win for the Railsplitters. They had never previously defeated the Saints, who were the third seed in the conference tournament and ranked 17th in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20.

5. A drama-free Selection Sunday? The picture won’t be completely sorted out in the next few days. But it’s possible things look unusually clear heading into the final week of the NCAA men’s lacrosse season, according to Patrick Stevens.

6. Syracuse remains the top seed, Hopkins leaps into the field (perhaps permanently) and Richmond slides back into the picture, per Jeremy Fallis’ latest NCAA women’s lacrosse tournament projection.

7. Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) paces four new teams in the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25 at No. 17 on the strength of an eight-game winning streak most recently including a win over New Canaan (Conn.).

8. Maryvale (Md.) just keeps winning and climbing the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25. The Lions’ latest feat: a win over Glenelg Country to rise to No. 6.

9. Jenny Levy and Bill Tierney will be honored at the USA Lacrosse Foundation Gala in June, USA Lacrosse announced Tuesday.
