Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Brown shakes up rankings Monday with upset of No. 6 Villanova
   Here at USA Lacrosse, we release rankings each Monday. Less than 12 hours after the Division I men’s rankings went live, unranked Brown ensured a shake-up next week with a 13-11 upset of No. 6 Villanova. The Bears returned seven seniors previously suspended for violations of university policies including noise violation complaints. One of those players, attackman Devon McLane, posted a hat trick and three assists in his return. Read more.

2. No. 12 Notre Dame rebounds with rout of Brown

   No. 12 Notre Dame shrugged off a Saturday loss to No. 11 Virginia with a dominant 21-7 win over Brown Monday. Madison Ahern (5 G, 1 A), Jackie Wolak (3 G, 3 A) and Kasey Choma (3 G, 2 A) paced the Irish. Notre Dame Athletics has a full recap.
   
   In the only other game on the Division I slate, Stetson toppled CCSU 19-9. Junior Georgia Goering scored a hat trick for the Hatters, who improved to 7-3. Full box.

3. Virginia back on top in Nike/USAL Division I men’s rankings
   Virgninia beat No. 1 Notre Dame to become No. 1 after a one-week bump to No. 4 courtesy of a loss to Maryland. It’s a lot to untangle. Patrick Stevens gave it a shot.

4. Syracuse tops the Nike/USAL Division I men’s rankings again
   Syracuse remained in the top spot in the Nike/USAL Division I rankings after scoring its sixth top-20 win of the season on Wednesday against Stony Brook, 16-11. The Orange followed that with a 17-5 rout of Louisville. The rest of the top five stayed the same: No. 2 Northwestern, No. 3 UNC, No. 4 Denver and No. 5 Boston College. Full rankings.
