Breaking the Eagles' single-game record with eight goals, senior attacker Kate Weeks led No. 18 Boston College past No. 20 UMass, 18-10, Wednesday afternoon. Weeks snapped the previous record of seven goals, held by both Covie Stanwick (2015) and Lauren Costello (2008).

Sophomore midfielder Sam Apuzzo also moved up in the Eagles' record books, now sitting second all-time in both single-game assists and single-game points. She recorded seven assists and 10 points.

Apuzzo and Weeks combined for 18 points in the 18-goal win, with Weeks bookending the game with the first and last goals.

UMass held an early 4-1 lead before the Eagles recovered with a seven-goal run spanning both halves, which was kickstarted by junior midfielder Kaileen Hart. 

Holly Turner, who topped the charts for UMass with four goals and five points, broke the scoring drought for the Minutewomen at the 26:05 mark in the second half before Apuzzo sparked another four-goal spurt for Boston College, notching two of her own. The final 19 minutes saw a 6-5 battle in the Eagles' favor, finishing with Apuzzo's assist to Weeks for the victory. 

Boston College outshot UMass 37-23 and won the draw battle 22-8. Sophomore Dempsey Arsenault had a career-high and team-high seven draw controls, while senior keeper Zoe Ochoa recorded five saves.
