Culver Academy (Ind.) and McDonogh School (Md.) are the No. 1-ranked teams in the USA Lacrosse Preseason National Top 25 lists for high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, respectively.
The rankings, which came out this morning, are compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from coaches around the country.
Culver graduated a good group of seniors, but Duke commits Nik Menendez and Luke Warrington, goalie Tade Wynn (Army), UNC-bound Mason Szewczyk and Luke Macaluso and Aidan McDonald (Princeton) give the Eagles senior talent at every level of the field.
New head coach Megan Huether Nicotra will try to keep McDonogh at the top of the IAAM, the toughest league in the country. Seniors Kate Levy (North Carolina), Amanda Lawson (Stanford) and Remi Schaller (Michigan) and junior Mckenzie Brown (Northwestern) lead the way.
Szewczyk and Brown are featured on this week's USA Lacrosse Magazine Weekly Cover.
