Isabella Peterson recorded a game-high five points and six other players scored multiple goals as No. 13 James Madison toppled George Mason 19-2 Wednesday afternoon.

Kacey Knobloch scored three goals as James Madison became just the fifth Division I program to reach 500 all-time wins.

James Madison (2-0) has been a D-I team since 1982 and has won 12 CAA championships and one NCAA title, an underdog run to the top in 2018.

Florida Offense Soars in Return

Paisley Eagan scored four goals and three other players produced hat tricks, as Florida (2-1) returned from a COVID-related halt to thump Kennesaw State 20-7. Maggi Hall led all players with five points.

Florida won 20 of 29 draws, led by Shannon Kavanagh’s eight. The game was originally scheduled for Feb. 23 but was postponed until Wednesday.

Loyola Nabs First Win

After being held scoreless during Loyola’s 0-2 start to the season, Livy Rosenzweig scored six goals with three assists in Wednesday’s 18-6 win over Villanova. Sam Fiedler had five goals and two assists.

Five of Rosenzweig’s goals came in the second half as Loyola outscored Villanova 9-1 in the period, breaking open what was a four-goal game at halftime.

Jillian Wilson had a career-high five points (two goals, three assists).

Richmond Leans on Depth

Thirteen players scored goals — led by three goals each from Lindsay Frank and Arden Tierney — to lead Richmond to a convincing 19-3 win over Longwood.

Richmond held a 39-12 advantage on shots, 20-10 advantage on ground balls and 19-5 advantage on draws.
