Johns Hopkins Edges Towson in Overtime
There have been a number of near misses for Johns Hopkins this season, but the Blue Jays prevailed 11-10 over Charles Street rival Towson on Abbey Hurlbrink’s overtime tally on Wednesday night.
The Blue Jays had lost by either one or two goals to Navy, Michigan and Rutgers earlier this season, but rallied to force overtime on Shelby Harrison’s goal with just 1:06 in regulation and then Hurlbrink scored her second of the game.
Harrison led Johns Hopkins (7-6) with four goals and Kathleen Garvey made 10 saves. Blaire Pearre scored three times for Towson (4-7).
