The Warrior/US Lacrosse Players of the Month recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.

NORTHEAST

Danny Caddigan, Smithtown West (N.Y.)

The sophomore attackman has gotten off to a quick start this season and helped propel West to seven straight wins. Caddigan has 34 goals and nine assists in eight games, including eight goals and one assist in a win over Commack (N.Y.) and six goals and one assist in a win over Huntington (N.Y.).

MID-ATLANTIC

Jack Sawyer, Calvert Hall (Md.)

Sawyer has been the backbone of the Calvert Hall offense through the first month of the season. The University of Maryland commit has 20 goals and 12 assists, helping the Cardinals to an 8-1 start and top ranking in the Mid-Atlantic region.

SOUTH

Dylan Hess, Ponte Vedra (Fla.)

The Georgetown commit is a big reason the Sharks have gotten off to such a hot start. He had three goals and three assists in an impressive victory over the Episcopal School of Dallas (Texas) and five goals and three assists in a rout of Creekside (Fla.). Even in Ponte Vedra’s lone loss of the season, to top-ranked Lambert (Ga.), Hess finished with a hat trick.

MIDWEST

Justin Glod, Brother Rice (Mich.)

The Warriors’ offense has been firing, and Justin Glod has led the way. Against rival Detroit Catholic Central, Glod scored six times, and against highly-ranked New Trier (Ill.), he found the back of the net four times. The senior will attend Harvard next year.

WEST

Alex Pistorious, Torrey Pines (Calif.)

The senior attackman has a whopping 59 points on 48 goals and 11 assists, despite Torrey Pines playing one of the most difficult schedules in the West. His knack for scoring has helped the Falcons earn wins over the likes of Southern Section defending champion Loyola-Los Angeles and Colorado defending Class 5A champion Regis Jesuit, as well as three top teams from Texas. Pistorious is headed to Colgate next year.
