Anna Mellinger, Milton (Ga.)
Anna Mellinger stepped up in the biggest games of the season. The freshman scored a team-leading four goals in the state championship game against Creekview (Ga.) to lead Milton to its fifth straight state title. Mellinger also assisted the game winner in the championship. Mellinger also had two goals and an assist in the state semifinal victory against Walton (Ga.).

Grace Curry, New Trier (Ill.)
The Trevians senior helped lift her team to victory against a game University School of Milwaukee squad with four goals and an assist. Not that four goals is rare for Curry. She notched the same total against one of Michigan's top teams, Rockford, and had a goal and three assists against Evanston (Ill.).

WEST
Elena Torres, Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.)
The senior closed out her high school career in dominant fashion, tallying five goals and one assist to power Foothill to a second straight CIF Southern Section championship. The Knight beat Santa Margarita (Calif.) 18-9 in the final Friday and Torres also added two groundballs and one caused turnover to contribute on the defensive end. She finished the season with 71 goals over 22 games and is headed to Villanova in the fall.
