The USA Lacrosse Players of the Week recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.

NORTHEAST

Sean Berrigan, Tappen Zee (N.Y.)

We now know what Sean Berrigan is doing for an encore after being named the Rockland County Player of the Year when he had 51 goals and 16 assists as a sophomore — total domination. The Bucknell-bound attack opened his junior season with six goals and three assists in a 19-11 win over Sleepy Hollow (N.Y.), then went off against rival Pearl River on April 2 with eight goals and six assists in an 18-9 victory as the Dutchmen improved to 2-1 on the season.

MID-ATLANTIC

Nick Golini, St. Mary’s (Md.)

St. Mary’s (Md.) trailed Calvert Hall (Md.) 10-8 entering the fourth quarter of their MIAA A Conference showdown when Nick Golini scored two of his three goals during a 4-0 run that enabled the Saints to pull out a 13-12 thriller. One of those goals was the junior attackman’s second go-ahead goal of the week. Golini also scored the go-ahead goal as the Saints rallied to overtake Loyola Blakefield (Md.) 9-6 earlier in the week. Golini scored two goals and added an assist in the win over Loyola. He’s helped St. Mary’s remain unbeaten through eight games.

SOUTH

Connor Knight, Dallas Jesuit (Texas)

Taking on rival Episcopal School of Dallas (Texas), Connor Knight stood on his head in the cage with 18 saves, leading Dallas Jesuit to an 11-5 win. The senior goalie followed that performance with an 11-save performance in Dallas Jesuit’s 10-9 overtime win over Torrey Pines (Calif.). Knight is committed to Richmond after this season.

MIDWEST

Drew Wynocker, St. Ignatius (Ohio)

Wynocker, a Denver commit, played a key role in the Wildcats' impressive 12-11 victory over Michigan power Brother Rice. The senior finished the game with a whopping seven goals.

WEST

Nick Colignon, Mater Dei (Calif.)

The senior goalkeeper made 12 saves to preserve a lead as then-No. 2 Mater Dei handed top-ranked Corona del Mar (Calif.) its first loss of the season. The Monarchs pulled away in the second half to win 14-8 and moved into the top spot in the West.
