SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today announced that Johns Hopkins women’s lacrosse coach Janine Tucker will speak to high school and youth girls’ lacrosse coaches at the 2019 US Lacrosse Convention (LaxCon), set for Jan. 11-13 in Philadelphia.

Tucker, a five-time IWLCA Regional Coach of the Year, completed her 25th season as the Blue Jays’ head coach in 2018. She is the all-time winningest coach at Johns Hopkins with a 281-153 (.647) record, including a 213-137 (.609) mark at the Division I level. A previous, popular speaker at LaxCon, Tucker in November traveled to Las Vegas to host an educational session at the US Lacrosse West Regional Conference.

“Janine Tucker continues to be one of the most sought-after coaches for events like LaxCon because of her depth of knowledge, experience, and ability to engage an audience,” Kim Rogers, director of events at US Lacrosse, said.

A 1989 graduate of Loyola and a member of the Greyhound Athletic Hall of Fame, Tucker has led the Blue Jays to double-digit win totals in 21 of her 25 seasons, six NCAA Division I tournament appearances, three ECAC Division I championship games and four NCAA Division III tournament appearances. Tucker became the ninth coach in NCAA Division I history to reach 250 wins when Hopkins beat visiting Marquette, 11-8, on Feb. 12, 2016. The win was also the 400th in program history.

Tucker will speak at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12.

LaxCon represents lacrosse’s largest professional development conference, trade show and interactive fan fest. The convention is open to the public, and members of US Lacrosse always save $40 on registration vs. non-member pricing. Online registration continues at $35 below walk-up rates for a limited time. Special hotel rates are available for all attendees for accommodations booked before Dec. 24.
