Additional details have been released for the 2018 Lacrosse All Stars North American Invitational (LASNAI), including game times for the opening day of the event. Two U.S. teams are competing in the event as part of the tryout process for the 2019 U.S. Indoor Team.

The LASNAI event will be held Sept. 27-29 at Onondaga Nation Fieldhouse and Onondaga Nation Arena, and will feature 34 teams competing.

The USA Blue team will kick off the event with a 10:50 a.m. game on Thursday, Sept. 27 against the Czech Developmental Team at the Onondaga Fieldhouse. The winner of that game will advance to the round of 16 and play either the CatTail Kings, LaserSharks Blanco or Courage Game on Friday morning at 10:10 a.m. on the Onondaga Arena. A loss by the USA Blue on Thursday would have them playing on Friday morning at 9 a.m. on the Onondaga Fieldhouse.

The USA White team opens against the Akwesasne Aces on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 11:40 a.m. at the Onondaga Fieldhouse. The winner of the that game will play on Friday at 8 a.m. at the Onondaga Arena against Casey Powell World Lacrosse, Toronto Tigers or Brooklyn Dodgers. A loss by USA White on Thursday would have them playing on Friday morning at 9:50 a.m. at the Onondaga Fieldhouse.

The championship game will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 p.m. on the Onondaga Arena. Games will be streamed on laxallstars.com with additional details to follow.

U.S. team head coach Regy Thorpe announced 46 players that were invited to the event and he will break that group into two teams for the competition, which will highlight Team USA’s training weekend.

The U.S. has another training camp scheduled for October as its gets set to name its final roster for the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, which will be held in Langley, British Columbia from Sept. 19-28, 2019.

The United States has medaled at each of the previous four FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, earning bronze in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

The U.S. men’s national indoor team trains and plays using best-in class products provide by Nike (apparel and footwear), Cascade (helmets), Warrior (equipment) and SISU Guard (mouthguards). In addition to these partners, Chipotle Mexican Grill, MedStar Sports Medicine, Greenfields and Nationwide are official sponsors of the national team. Team training is also aided by products from DJO Global, Motive Pure, NormaTec Recovery and Athletic Republic.
