As many teams begin the stretch run of the regular season, which teams will survive out-of-conference and league schedules to surge in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division III Women's Top 20?

This week, the leader of the pack has changed, as Trinity pocketed another NESCAC road win to assume the No. 1 position for the first time this season. The Bantams improved to 10-1 with a 12-9 win at Connecticut College, replacing idle and previous-No. 1 Washington and Lee.

Collisions in last week's Top 10 also shook up this week's ranking, as then-No. 9 Gettysburg won at then-No. 2 Franklin & Marshall, 12-6, and previous-No. 5 William Smith edged then-No. 3 Ithaca, 10-3.

HOT

Trinity (+3)

The Bantams' only blemish this season is an overtime defeat to powerful Ithaca in a neutral-site game. They have thus far avoided an ambush by NESCAC rivals, though ranked Wesleyan, Middlebury and Hamilton loom. The good news is that all three are at home.

NOT

Franklin & Marshall (-9)

When the Diplomats have lost, it's been ugly. Witness a 9-3 season-opening defeat at then-unranked Washington and Lee and last week's 12-6 thumper at home against then-No. 9 Gettysburg. F&M concludes a three-game roadie at Messiah and at Catholic, each of which could represent a trap game.

NEW

Mary Washington

The Eagles enjoyed a lofty position at season's start in this ranking. Though they've stumbled on occasion and are unlikely to catch York and Salisbury, they'll present a significant challenge in the league tournament.

OUT

Catholic

A tough week for the Cardinals, losing by eight total each on the road at then-No. 10 York and previously unranked Mary Washington.
