Editor’s Note: This is the last in-season update of the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men's Top 20. The final rankings will be posted Tuesday, May 28, following the conclusion of the NCAA tournaments.

The NCAA tournament bracket is out and 12 teams will face the challenge of playing in the Men’s Division II postseason. Limestone, fresh off a Conference Carolinas championship and a win over Indianapolis, take the top seed in the South.

As for the North, the NE10 final between Le Moyne and Adelphi would likely decide the top seed in that region. The Dolphins, for the second time in a few weeks, took down the Panthers to win the conference and earn the other top seed in the NCAA tournament.

Each of this week’s top 10 will make an appearance in the NCAA tournament. Tampa (No. 12) and Queens (No. 15) round out the field.

Check out the final Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men’s Top 20 before a champion is crowned in Philadelphia.

HOT

Mercyhurst (+1)

A team that sits quietly in the top five just ran away with the GMAC conference title. The Lakers won 12 out of 13 games to end the season, including 14-10 championship win over Seton Hill which avenged one of three setbacks this season. Mercyhurst could be a threat in the NCAA tournament.

NOT

Indianapolis (-2)

There’s nothing wrong with falling to unbeaten Limestone on the surface, but it was a great opportunity to show the Division II world what this team is about. Still, the Greyhounds are in the NCAA field in just their fourth season, and have a chance to make a real run.
