The best women’s lacrosse players in the world are headed to the United States next summer for the world championship and tickets are now on sale at a fantastic savings.

Full event ticket passes — granting access to the opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, up to 120 games and all of the pageantry of the world championship — are available for just $105 through Dec. 31, 2021.

A record 30 nations are scheduled to participate in the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship from June 29 – July 9, 2022 at Towson (Md.) University. USA Lacrosse will be the host organization for the event, which is being held in the United States for just the third time ever. The event was previously held in Swarthmore, Pa. (1986) and Annapolis, Md. (2005).

No nation has ever won the women’s world championship on home soil, but the United States is hoping to end that trend. The U.S. has won the last three world championships, defeating Australia in the gold medal game in 2009 in the Czech Republic, beating host Canada in 2013 and downing Canada in 2017 in England. The U.S. enters next year’s championship as the No. 1 seed and is followed by Canada, England, Australia, Scotland, Israel, Wales, New Zealand, Japan and the Czech Republic in the top 10.

The U.S. team is currently in training for the world championship and will compete in the IWLCA President’s Cup in Dallas the weekend of Nov. 19-21.

Led by head coach Jenny Levy of the University of North Carolina, the U.S. training team roster includes Athletes Unlimited champion and three-time Tewaaraton winner Taylor Cummings, all-world defender Megan Douty, 2021 Tewaaraton winner Charlotte North, U.S. record-setting scorer Kayla Treanor, and countless other stars.

Registration is also open for the World Festival, which is being run in conjunction with the championship. The World Festival will be held at neighboring Goucher College and features the opportunity for teams from around the world to compete and watch the sport’s best players in action. The festival has six groupings for women’s competition — 13U, 14U, 16U, 18U, Elite (18+) and Social (18+).
