TD Ierlan has potentially found his new home.

The NCAA’s all-time leading faceoff winner confirmed to US Lacrosse Magazine that if the Ivy League cancels spring sports in 2021, he will transfer to Denver. The move would be pending his acceptance, and Ierlan said that there are "still a lot of hurdles to go through" in a text message to US Lacrosse Magazine's Matt Hamilton. Ierlan appeared on The Post Game Podcast this morning and stated that his sights are set on Denver.

Should he transfer, Ierlan will join former Yale teammates Jackson Morrill and Lucas Cotler at Denver, where coached Bill Tierney will have a wealth of veteran talent on his roster.

News trickled out last week when Ierlan’s name appeared in the transfer portal. He told US Lacrosse Magazine last Wednesday that the growing uncertainty on the Ivy League’s 2021 season led to his decision to enter the portal as a backup plan.

Ierlan is the NCAA’s Division I leader in a variety of faceoff categories, including career and single-season faceoff wins, single-season faceoff win percentage and single-game faceoff win percentage.

After making the final four with Albany in 2018, Ierlan transferred to defending national champion Yale.

The Ivy League has been pressured by the lacrosse community recently to resume athletics. The Brown men's and women's lacrosse teams started a change.org petition that has received over 8,000 signatures at the time of this writing.

And it doesn't appear as if a resolution is coming any time soon. US Lacrosse Magazine contributor Justin Feil heard from coaches in the Ivy League that they don't expect a final decision from the league for another couple of weeks.
