The Division II men’s lacrosse season will be characterized by parity, with no team standing among the rest. Limestone could have been a dominant force in 2021, but it lost its three best offensive players after the COVID-shortened 2020 season. 

If there is one team that has the firepower to dominate the Division II scene, it’s Tampa, led by coach Rory Whipple. The Spartans boast the top faceoff man in the country in Ross Dickerson in addition to two All-American middies in Jake Mosher McGraw and Bryan McGraw. Add in two Division I transfers, and Tampa could be the team to beat.

With the NCAA downsizing the tournament from 12 to 10 teams, there could be more than a handful of squads fighting for at-large bids come May.
