HOT
Pace (+3)
The Setters primarily benefited from losses by teams above them in the rankings, but a three-game win streak to start the season is worth noting. Pace is averaging 19 goals per game in wins over Caldwell, Dominican and Georgian Court.
Rollins (+3)
The Tars continue a torrid start to the season, downing Westminster 19-11 at home last Wednesday. Outside of one-goal games against Florida Tech and Lynn, Rollins has averaged a 9.25-goal margin of victory.
NOT
Queens (N.C.) (-4)
The Royals suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Belmont Abbey on Saturday, managing just six goals (including none in the second and third quarters). Only two players (Tyler Ewen, Jack Royer).
Mount Olive (-4)
The Trojans have now lost back-to-back Tuesday games, starting with the blowout against Wingate and a one-goal setback to Newberry. Mount Olive trailed by as many as seven goals in the fourth quarter against Newberry, but the whole proved one goal too large to overcome.
NEW
Newberry (No. 15)
The Wolves needed to rebound after back-to-back losses to UIndy and Queens, and they did so in impressive fashion. First, Newberry held off the intense rally from Mount Olive for the 13-12 upset win. Then, it dropped 23 goals on Tusculum in a Saturday victory. Four different players have scored double-digit goals for the Wolves.
OUT
Lake Erie (was No. 19)
The Storm entered the top 20 last week on the heels of wins over Frostburg and Lewis, but could not push its momentum into a matchup with St. Michael’s. Lake Erie led by three goals after a quarter, but allowed eight second-quarter goals for the road loss.
