Exhibition or not, Sunday afternoon’s fall ball contest between defending national champion Maryland and national runner-up Cornell is a hot ticket. Unfortunately, if you haven’t already gotten a ticket, you likely won’t be able to get in on the action.

The 1 p.m. game, which is being played at Philadelphia-area Springfield-Delco (Pa.) High School, is sold out. Springfield-Delco Assistant Athletic Director and head boys’ coach Tom Lemieux told PhillyLacrosse.com that advanced sales are over, with 2,500 tickets already sold. There will be no tickets sold at the door.

Cornell gave Maryland its stiffest test of 2022, pushing the Terps to the wire in the national title game. Maryland prevailed 9-7 to finish off a perfect season, arguably one of the top Division I men’s lacrosse campaigns of all time.

Fifteen players combined between the two rosters are from the Philadelphia area, which should create for a great October atmosphere.
