A sweep of former No. 1 Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) by Stone Ridge (Md.) and losses by other teams caused a considerable reshuffle in the Nike / USA Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25.

Jumping up to No. 1 is St. Paul’s, even though its season is done. The Gators’ body of work — a title in the toughest conference in the country on the backs of a veteran group with 16 Division I commits — propels them back to the top.

New Canaan closed out the regular season undefeated, beating Staples 15-2. Hollis Mulry had four goals and one assist, Kaleigh Harden and Dillon Patten had three goals apiece, Quinn McKiernan had one goal and three assists and seniors McKenna Harden, Courtney O’Connell and goalie Claire Mahoney led a strong defensive effort. The Rams are the No. 1 seed in the FCIAC playoffs. A third meeting this season against Darien could be on the horizon in the championship game Friday at Dunning Field. Previous: 2

3. Manhasset (N.Y.), 8-1

Manhasset has reeled off seven straight wins after a one-goal loss to Wantagh on May 5. That includes a 9-8 victory over Syosset with Emma LoPinto scoring three goals and adding a pair of helpers. Grace Gately had two goals and two assists, Ashley Newman had a pair of goals and Alexis Morton had one goal and one assist. Previous: 3

4. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), 7-0

Abbey LoCascio had one goal and five assists, Tess Calabria and Ava Biancardi had three goals apiece, Rose Christie and Kate Licciardi both scored two goals and Erin O’Grady made seven saves in a 15-5 win over Kellenberg. Previous: 4

5. Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.), 9-0

Maddigan Miller netted three goals, Alex Fusco had a pair of goals, Katie Clare had one goal and two assists and Mairead Kelly had a pair of assists in a 9-6 win over Westhampton. Fusco had four goals and an assist in a 17-2 win over Kings Park a day later. Previous: 6

6. Darien (Conn.), 12-2

Darien closed out the regular season on a high note, scoring 19 goals in wins over Fairfield Ludlowe and Greenwich. The Blue Wave are the No. 2 seed in the upcoming FCIAC playoffs and host No. 7 Ridgefield in the quarterfinals. Previous: 7

7. Garden City (N.Y.), 5-2 

After consecutive losses to Manhasset and Wantagh, the Trojans have won four in a row, including an 11-7 win over the Warriors to avenge that early season defeat. In a 9-4 win over Long Beach, Alex Hopkins had two goals and one assist, Meghan Rode had one goal and three assists and Angie Suau and Sydney Pappas both scored a pair of goals. Previous: NR

8. Sayville (N.Y.), 8-1

Sayville rebounded from a shock 8-7 loss to West Babylon to defeat Comsewogue 17-8. Brooke Hoss had five goals and one assist, Taylor Hoss had four goals and two assists, Erin Schaefer had four goals and one assist and Brigid Manning added two goals and three assists. Previous: 8

9. Rocky Point (N.Y.), 7-2

MaryKate Abernethy had three goals, Kaleigh Wilgeroth had one goal and one assist and Jenika Cuocco made eight saves in a 7-5 win over previously ranked Mount Sinai. A one-goal defeat to Sayville is the only blip in a run of seven wins in the last eight games. Previous: NR

10. Wilton (Conn.), 11-3

Wilton closed out the regular season with wins over Fairfield Warde (21-3), St. Joe’s (15-4) and Greenwich (14-5) and earned the No. 3 seed in the FCIAC tournament. Wilton hosts Greenwich again in the quarterfinals. Previous: 10

Mid-Atlantic Top 10

1. St. Paul's School for Girls (Md.), 15-1

The Gators’ season concluded after winning the IAAM A championship. St. Paul’s was the top team all year in conference play. The Gators have 16 Division I commits and three Senior Under Armour All-Americans. St. Paul’s lost just once, by a single goal, and went through a minefield of talented Maryland teams. Previous: 2

2. Stone Ridge (Md.), 7-1

Stone Ridge handed previously top-ranked Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) its first two losses of the season over the weekend. In the first game, the Gators won 15-11 as Grace Slater scored a game-high four goals, Caroline Conaghan had one goal and five assists and Grace Muldoon and Ellie Williams each finished with a hat trick. Julia Carr scored twice, and Emelia Bohi stopped 13 shots. The Gators beat Visitation again the next day 13-9 with Muldoon scoring five goals and adding three assists to pace the offense. Carr, Conaghan, Slater and Corey White all had two goals apiece. Slater also provided two assists, and Bohi saved 13 shots. The week had begun in fine fashion against another quality opponent, as Bohi made 14 saves and Muldoon had nine points in a 20-10 win over Good Counsel (Md.) on May 18. Slater tallied eight points, White and Conaghan each scored hat tricks, and Carr added three points. Amanda Brille was dominant on the draw. The Gators will play No. 7 St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.) in games Wednesday and Thursday. Previous: 6

3. McDonogh (Md.), 13-3

The Eagles came back strong after Kori Edmondson missed three games due to injury. Her return seemed to provide a spark for McDonogh, which rallied from back-to-back losses in April to win four straight and reach the IAAM A Conference championship game. Two of the Eagles’ three losses were to St. Paul’s. Previous: 5

4. Conestoga (Pa.), 17-0-1

The top seed for the AAA District 1 playoffs defeated Downingtown East 17-5 in the quarterfinals. Kate Galica scored five goals and added one assist. Rachel Clark also had five goals to go with eight draw controls, Megan Marengo had a hat trick and Melissa Hewitt scored two goals and supplied three assists. Alana Lepore made six saves. Conestoga had stopped Souderton 20-4 in the second round. Clark had a game-high six goals, Galica added four goals, two assists and eight draw controls and Hewitt fired in four goals. Addi Bucher scored twice, and Sophie Borelli had three draw controls. 5. Oak Knoll (N.J.), 13-1

Oak Knoll captured its first Union County Tournament championship since 2017 with an 11-5 win over Summit (N.J.). The Royals, who account for both of Summit’s losses this season, became the first team in three years to hold the Hilltoppers to five goals or fewer. Madeline Sepe finished with eight saves, Devon Gogerty tallied a hat trick and one assist and Lily Ramsey and Colleen Quinn each had two goals and one assist. The Royals had cruised by Kent Place (N.J.) 16-3 in the UCT semifinals. Ramsey scored a game-high five goals, while Quinn finished with seven points on four goals and three assists. Seven other players scored one goal. Oak Knoll also walloped Bridgewater-Raritan (N.J.) 15-2 on May 17. Bridgewater had lost just once but had no answer for Quinn, who amassed 11 points on six goals and five assists. Annie Burton had a hat trick and one assist, and Julia Ramsey and Darby Campbell scored two goals apiece. Claire Adelhelm and Annika Spoor each finished with one goal and one assist. Previous: 7

6. Georgetown Visitation (D.C.), 4-2     

Ally Boyce led the Cubs with four goals and two assists in a 15-8 win at Paul VI (Va.) on May 17. Sally Zinsner had three goals and a game-high four assists, while Molly Finlay and Molly McGuckin also recorded hat tricks and one assist. Visitation lost 15-11 to Stone Ridge (Md.) on Friday and by a 13-9 count to the Gators on Saturday. Previous: 1

7. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.), 9-2

The Saints won the VISAA championship 16-5 over Collegiate (Va.). Cate Bradley had four goals and three assists, Brooke Kurtz scored three goals and had four assists, Mira Majure tallied a hat trick and Annabel Frist scored twice, added an assist and won 10 draw controls. SSSA had stopped St. Anne’s-Belfield in the semifinals 18-7, as Olivia Duvall, Bradley, Majure and Frist all had hat tricks. Bradley also had three assists, while Frist won seven draws. Kurtz scored a pair of goals to go with three assists, and Nicole Cruthird provided a goal and two assists. The Saints celebrated Senior Day with a 20-3 win over Catholic High in the VISAA quarterfinals. Lambeth had three goals and one assist, Majure scored two goals, Hadley Boston scored a pair of goals and added an assist, Bradley notched one goal with three assists and Ella Webb had one goal and two assists. Frist and Abby Musser each had four draws. The Saints face Stone Ridge on Wednesday and Thursday. Previous: 3

8. Notre Dame Prep (Md.), 13-2

Notre Dame’s season concluded with an 8-7 loss to McDonogh in the IAAM A Conference semifinals. The Blazers lost twice to McDonogh, but they are the lone team this year to beat St. Paul’s. Previous: NR

9. Chatham (N.J.), 13-1

Already owning wins over Jersey powers Oak Knoll and Ridgewood, Chatham earned its first Morris County Tournament championship since 2015 with a 9-7 victory over Mendham. Haley Riabov delivered a hat trick, Sophie Straka had two goals and an assist, Ashley Kiernan scored one goal to go with two assists, and Carly Frohnapfel, Ashley Smith and Callie Riabov all had one goal. Cate Gallagher stopped nine shots. Haley Riabov had three goals and an assist in a 14-4 win over Madison in the MCT semifinals. Straka led the attack with one goal and two assists, and Frohnapfel had six draws in a 12-2 win over Morris Knolls (N.J.) in the MCT quarterfinals.  Previous: NR

10. Good Counsel (Md.), 7-1

The Falcons lost for the first time this season — 20-10 to Stone Ridge. Good Counsel trailed just 11-9 with 18 minutes to play before Stone Ridge pulled away. Freshman Hannah Rudolph and senior Gracie Smith each scored three goals, while senior Megan Flannery added two goals. Good Counsel rebounded with a 23-8 win over St. Mary’s Ryken on Wednesday. Smith totaled nine goals and 10 draw controls for the week. The Falcons take on St. John’s (Md.) on Wednesday. Previous: 9

1. Milton (Ga.), 21-0

The Eagles concluded the 2021 campaign with their fourth straight state title, beating West Forsyth (Ga.) 13-8 on Saturday in the final. The Eagles, who have now won 14 of the last 16 championships awarded, advanced to the finals by topping Walton (Ga.) 17-3 on May 11. USC recruit Maddie Dora had 20 goals and 12 assists during the four-game playoff run. Brie Catts, Skylar Carrasquillo and Haly Hawks all contributed hat tricks in the state final, while Tori Mellinger stopped 10 shots. Previous: 1

2. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.), 16-1

The Stallions defeated Lake Highland Prep (Fla.) 13-11 to capture an FHSAA Class 1A championship on May 8. American Heritage-Delray finished the season on an 11-game winning streak. Freshman Brooke Goldstein had a team-leading 52 goals, while junior Casey Roberts led with 32 assists. American Heritage-Delray’s only loss was a regular-season defeat against Lake Highland Prep. 3. Lake Highland Prep (Fla.), 20-1

The Highlanders bid for a perfect season and state title came to a close on May 8 by losing to American-Heritage Delray 13-11 in the championship game. Juniors Jacqueline Jaskiewicz and Lauren Pittman led Lake Highland with 47 goals each. Syracuse recruit Olivia Adamson had a team-leading 27 assists to add to her 40-goal contribution. Previous: 3

4. East Chapel Hill (N.C), 16-2

The Wildcats won a state championship after they pulled off a pair of stunning upsets, first defeating Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) 19-12 on March 22 in the state quarterfinals, then defeating Weddington (N.C.) 14-8 on March 27. Talia Zuco scored five times in the championship game. Sophie Halus and Molly Reed tied as the team’s scoring leaders with 56 goals each. Previous: 4

5. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 13-1

Following a perfect regular season, the Crusaders were upset in the state quarterfinals on March 22 against East Chapel Hill. Harvard recruit Caroline Mullahy racked up 40 goals and 77 assists in just 14 games. Sophomore Gracie Mullahy tallied 36 goals and 28 assists. Previous: 5

6. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 13-1

The Raiders won the FHSAA Class 2A state title by defeating Vero Beach (Fla.) 17-9 on May 8. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) only had one loss, to Class 1A runner up Lake Highland Prep (Fla.). Navy recruit Ava Yovino led the team in both goals (45) and assists (28) to go along with a team-leading 49 ground balls and 21 draws. Peri Reigner also played a key role for St. Thomas Aquinas with 39 goals and 17 assists. Previous: 6

7. Weddington, (N.C.), 17-2

The Warriors came one game short of winning a state title, losing 14-8 to East Chapel Hill on March 27. Senior Jordyn Case (Stanford) scored 82 goals and added 53 assists to close out her stellar high school career. Virginia Tech recruit Kendal Williams added 70 goals to complete her senior season. 8. Franklin (Tenn.), 18-0

The Admirals concluded a perfect season with a 14-12 win over Ravenwood (Tenn.) in the state championship game Sunday. Sophomore Aliya Polisky led Franklin with six goals, while senior Josie Ward scored five times to give her 110 goals for the season. Franklin advanced to the championship game by defeating Seymore (Tenn.) 20-4. Ward scored seven times while Gracie McCoy had five goals. Previous: 9

9. Hockaday (Texas), 12-2

The Daisies were crowned Texas Division I champions by defeating Southlake (Texas) 14-11 on May 9. The season was highlighted by wins over Episcopal School Dallas (Texas) and Highland Park (Texas). Previous: 8

10. Vero Beach (Fla.), 16-2

Vero Beach’s quest for a state title came just short, falling to St. Thomas Aquinas 17-9 in the final. Sophomore Alexa Vega led the squad with 56 goals, while senior Emily Adams led with 49 assists on top of her 38 goals. Previous: 10

Midwest Top 10

1. Loyola Academy (Ill.), 15-0

The Ramblers outscored in-state foes Lake Forest, Fenwick and Maine South by a combined margin of 55-10, including superb contributions from Duke commit Ellie Lazzaretto, who had 10 goals and 10 draws on the week, and Georgetown commit Maley Starr, who had nine goals, eight assists and 15 draws. They weren’t alone in their contributions, as Catherine Holcomb had eight goals and eight assists on the week and Adrienne Leone had six goals and assists, including four goals against the Friars and five assists against the Scouts. 2. New Trier (Ill.), 14-2

The Trevians had a jaw-dropping stretch against the Red Devils on Thursday, holding Hinsdale Central (Ill.) scoreless for 17 minutes while scoring six unanswered goals heading into the half en route to a 19-7 victory. Senior captain Macy Zaban had seven goals in New Trier’s win over Hinsdale Central, and then she added four goals and four assists in an 18-6 win over Arrowhead (Wis.). Previous: 2

3. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 19-0

The top-seeded Golden Bears began their postseason in fine form, defeating fourteenth-seeded Centerville (Ohio) 21-1 and thirteenth-seeded Pickerington North (Ohio) 19-4. The dominant performances included junior Haley Martin erupting for five assists against the Elks and Rian Adkins, Clara Gallapoo and Ava Walters notching six points apiece against the Panthers. 4. Hinsdale Central (Ill.), 9-2

The Red Devils bounced back from a tough loss at New Trier with an emphatic win over Lyons Township (Ill.) two days later. Hinsdale Central gets yet another chance against one of the region’s top teams with a home game against Loyola Academy on Wednesday. Previous: 4

5. Edina (Minn.), 11-0

Edina stayed undefeated with a pair of wins over Breck (Minn.) and Bloomington Jefferson (Minn.), but a tough test looms Tuesday with a game against 8-2 Blake (Minn.), which defeated Eden Prairie (Minn.) on Thursday. Cordelia Flemming and Haley Reeck combined for 13 of the Hornets’ 16 goals against the Mustangs, with Reeck turning in her second seven-goal performance of the week against the Jaguars. Previous: 5

6. East Grand Rapids (Mich.), 17-2

Following three straight wins by two goals or fewer, the Pioneers made it a little more comfortable against Forest Hills Central (Mich.), pulling off a 16-11 victory. Previous: 7

7. Carmel (Ind.), 14-2

The Greyhounds captured a sectional title Tuesday with a 14-4 victory over Penn (Ind.), led by six goals from Maddie McGarty and another hat trick from Hannah Kim. Carmel, which will take on rival Cathedral (Ind.) in a June 3 state semifinal, also played suffocating defense against Penn, including five ground balls from Grace Miller and four from Hollis Rang. 8. Prior Lake (Minn.), 11-1

The Lakers are up to 11 straight wins since dropping their opener to Edina, including an impressive 17-6 triumph over Eden Prairie on Saturday. Prior Lake’s balance showed in that win, as seven players recorded multiple goals, with Payton Bloedow and Ava Schlitz recording hat tricks and Lindsey Grove, Jade Haugen, Mackenzie Salentre, Megan Sporney and Nina Winter tacking on two goals apiece. 9. Rockford (Mich.), 9-4

The Rams bounced back from a two-goal loss to East Grand Rapids with a two-goal victory over Forest Hills Northern/Eastern (Mich.) — followed by a convincing road win at West Ottawa Holland (Mich.). Previous: 10

10. New Albany (Ohio), 17-3

The Eagles have caught fire with 10 straight wins, including impressive victories over Mason (Ohio) and Dublin Jerome (Ohio). Three New Albany players are currently hovering around the 50-goal mark: Mary Carson, Abby Cole and Katie Kaucheck. Previous: NR

1. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 3-0

Three freshmen were among the Mustangs’ point leaders in a 12-5 win over Regis Jesuit (Colo.) on Saturday, as Charolette Corkins posted a team-high six points on two goals and four assists, Zoe Martin had a team-high three goals and Vivian Leuthold added two goals and one assist. Senior Katharine Merrifield also had two goals and one assist, and sophomore goalie Olivia Aguirre made eight saves. Six players scored at least two goals in a 15-12 win over Valor Christian (Colo.) on Wednesday. Previous: 1

2. Scripps Ranch (Calif.), 14-0

The Falcons enter the postseason still undefeated after adding three wins last week, as Ella Brislin led with 15 points combined and Kayden Williamson and Natalie Markman added 12 points each. In a 16-2 win over Cathedral Catholic (Calif.), Brislin finished with six goals and one assist, while Williamson added four goals and Markman had three goals and two assists. Scripps Ranch also collected a 12-5 win over Coronado in a balanced effort, but the offense exploded in a 19-1 victory against Patrick Henry with Brislin scoring five goals, Williamson collecting five goals and one assist and Markman adding two goals and three assists. Ally Richardon-Pepper had eight saves for the week with six goals allowed. The top-seeded Falcons play Cathedral again Thursday in the quarterfinals of the CIF San Diego Open division tournament. 3. Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.), 14-0

The Knights earned a notable 11-8 win over La Jolla (Calif.), sparked by Elena Torres’ five goals, Zoey Stephens’ team-leading eight ground balls and Mikayla Yang’s 10 saves. Natalie Anderson added two goals and two assists, and Taylor Puma had two goals and one assist. Foothill also added dominant wins over Yorba Linda (Calif.) and Downey (Calif.) last week, beating them by a 39-1 margin. Foothill begins the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs against a to-be-determined wild card winner Saturday. Previous: 3

4. San Ramon Valley (Calif.), 12-0

The Wolves completed their season, and the CIF North Coast Section will not be holding championships this year. Alannah Scott led SRV with 48 goals and eight assists, and Lauren Iorio added 33 goals and 20 assists. CoCo Wong won 73.7 percent of the draws she took and also tallied 25 goals and 24 assists. 5. Mercer Island (Wash.), 4-0

The Islanders collected a 10-3 win over Woodinville (Wash.) and 16-4 victory against Bainbridge Island (Wash.) last week. Annabelle Gersch had six goals and seven assists over the two games, including nine points against Bainbridge Island. Emma Brodsky had three goals in that game as well. Previous: 5

6. Fairview (Colo.), 6-0

The Knights added a 16-4 win over Denver East (Colo.) and 16-6 victory over Mullen (Colo.) last week. They haven’t allowed more than seven goals in any game so far, including holding Cherry Creek to six goals in the opener. Previous: 7

7. La Jolla (Calif.), 10-3

The Vikings suffered a second straight loss by falling to Foothill but rebounded to beat Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) 19-6 and Coronado (Calif.) 13-6. Luca Demaio tallied 16 points last week, including seven goals and three assists to go along with four draws in the win against Cathedral and three goals and one assist against Coronado. Previous: 6

8. Newbury Park (Calif.), 12-1

The Panthers claimed the Marmonte League title with an 18-5 win over Oaks Christian (Calif.) and earned the third seed in the Southern Section Division I tournament. Nine players scored in the regular-season finale with senior Emma Ing (four goals and one assist) and sophomore Penelope Reille (four goals) leading. Reagan Laubner and Micah Shin each contributed two goals and one assist. Junior goalie Daniella Guyette had an assist on a long clear and seven saves on 11 shots faced. Ing (58 goals) leads the team with 62 points this season, while Laubner has 40 points on 28 goals and 12 assists. Previous: 8

9. Amador Valley (Calif.), 7-0

The Dons have completed their season. Celeste Murphy led the team with 18 goals and 11 assists in seven games, while Kalena Johnson had 18 goals and four assists. Previous: 9

10. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 12-3

The Falcons rebounded from their loss to La Jolla with a pair of close wins against Poway (Calif.) and San Marcos (Calif.) on the road, despite missing multiple starters for both contests. Torrey Pines rallied from a four-goal halftime deficit to beat San Marcos 12-11 on Friday to claim the Avocado League title. Reese Loseke led the attack with four goals and one assist, while Kate Cambell had three goals and one assist and Ellie Davidson added a hat trick. Laurel Gonzalez had a team-high five ground balls.
