There will be an air of familiarity to the final four.

Top-seeded Maryland was the fourth team to punch its ticket to NCAA championship weekend Saturday, easily defeating Denver 17-8 in College Park, Md.

The top four seeds have made it through the bracket.

The Terps (20-1) will meet fourth-seeded Northwestern in a Big Ten championship rematch. The Wildcats dealt Maryland its only defeat in the conference final 13 days ago.

ACC rivals Boston College, the second seed, and North Carolina, the third seed, will play in the other semifinal Friday at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. The Tar Heels handed the Eagles their only loss of the season in the ACC championship game April 28.

Maryland left little to chance in its quarterfinal encounter with Denver. The Terps opened up a 9-2 lead with a six-goal run in the first half and never looked back.

Caroline Steele scored a career-high seven goals, including the 200th of her career, and Brindi Griffin contributed four goals and two assists in the win. Maryland advanced to the final four for the 11th straight season, an incredible run that includes national titles in 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2017.
