Stanford women’s lacrosse had a huge last week, picking up a win over Albany and then shocking Stony Brook on Long Island. Much of the big effort from the Cardinal came from Ali Baiocco, who scored 11 goals and added two assists over the weekend.

Baiocco started with a five-goal, two-assist effort in a 16-13 victory over the Great Danes. She followed it with six goals, including four in the second half, to lead Stanford to the victory over the Seawolves on Sunday – snapping Stony Brook’s 33-game home win streak. She now has 17 goals and seven assists on the young season.

Her big week earns her Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.
