Defending national champion St. Thomas, which earned championship No. 6 last spring, checks in at No. 1 in the Nike/US Lacrosse MCLA Division II Preseason Top 20.

Andrew Broman returns to lead the Tommies as someone who figures to be in the player of the year discussion. Jason King will now be charged with coaching the team, though St. Thomas figures to be a title favorite again.

Checking in at No. 2 is Dayton. The College of Idaho, led by US Lacrosse MCLA Division II Preseason Player of the Year Henry Ontiveros, is No. 3. North Dakota State and Minnesota-Duluth are Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
