The Eagles concluded the 2021 campaign with their fourth straight state title, beating West Forsyth (Ga.) 13-8 on Saturday in the final. The Eagles, who have now won 14 of the last 16 championships awarded, advanced to the finals by topping Walton (Ga.) 17-3 on May 11. USC recruit Maddie Dora had 20 goals and 12 assists during the four-game playoff run. Brie Catts, Skylar Carrasquillo and Haly Hawks all contributed hat tricks in the state final, while Tori Mellinger stopped 10 shots. Previous: 1
2. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.), 16-1
The Stallions defeated Lake Highland Prep (Fla.) 13-11 to capture an FHSAA Class 1A championship on May 8. American Heritage-Delray finished the season on an 11-game winning streak. Freshman Brooke Goldstein had a team-leading 52 goals, while junior Casey Roberts led with 32 assists. American Heritage-Delray’s only loss was a regular-season defeat against Lake Highland Prep. 3. Lake Highland Prep (Fla.), 20-1
The Highlanders bid for a perfect season and state title came to a close on May 8 by losing to American-Heritage Delray 13-11 in the championship game. Juniors Jacqueline Jaskiewicz and Lauren Pittman led Lake Highland with 47 goals each. Syracuse recruit Olivia Adamson had a team-leading 27 assists to add to her 40-goal contribution. Previous: 3
4. East Chapel Hill (N.C), 16-2
The Wildcats won a state championship after they pulled off a pair of stunning upsets, first defeating Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) 19-12 on March 22 in the state quarterfinals, then defeating Weddington (N.C.) 14-8 on March 27. Talia Zuco scored five times in the championship game. Sophie Halus and Molly Reed tied as the team’s scoring leaders with 56 goals each. Previous: 4
5. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 13-1
Following a perfect regular season, the Crusaders were upset in the state quarterfinals on March 22 against East Chapel Hill. Harvard recruit Caroline Mullahy racked up 40 goals and 77 assists in just 14 games. Sophomore Gracie Mullahy tallied 36 goals and 28 assists. Previous: 5
6. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 13-1
The Raiders won the FHSAA Class 2A state title by defeating Vero Beach (Fla.) 17-9 on May 8. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) only had one loss, to Class 1A runner up Lake Highland Prep (Fla.). Navy recruit Ava Yovino led the team in both goals (45) and assists (28) to go along with a team-leading 49 ground balls and 21 draws. Peri Reigner also played a key role for St. Thomas Aquinas with 39 goals and 17 assists. Previous: 6
7. Weddington, (N.C.), 17-2
The Warriors came one game short of winning a state title, losing 14-8 to East Chapel Hill on March 27. Senior Jordyn Case (Stanford) scored 82 goals and added 53 assists to close out her stellar high school career. Virginia Tech recruit Kendal Williams added 70 goals to complete her senior season. 8. Franklin (Tenn.), 18-0
The Admirals concluded a perfect season with a 14-12 win over Ravenwood (Tenn.) in the state championship game Sunday. Sophomore Aliya Polisky led Franklin with six goals, while senior Josie Ward scored five times to give her 110 goals for the season. Franklin advanced to the championship game by defeating Seymore (Tenn.) 20-4. Ward scored seven times while Gracie McCoy had five goals. Previous: 9
9. Hockaday (Texas), 12-2
The Daisies were crowned Texas Division I champions by defeating Southlake (Texas) 14-11 on May 9. The season was highlighted by wins over Episcopal School Dallas (Texas) and Highland Park (Texas). Previous: 8
10. Vero Beach (Fla.), 16-2
Vero Beach’s quest for a state title came just short, falling to St. Thomas Aquinas 17-9 in the final. Sophomore Alexa Vega led the squad with 56 goals, while senior Emily Adams led with 49 assists on top of her 38 goals. Previous: 10

1. Loyola Academy (Ill.), 12-0
The Ramblers followed a brilliant set of wins over two of the top teams in Michigan with a 3-0 week back in the Land of Lincoln, including a 15-7 victory over previously undefeated Hinsdale Central and a 12-10 comeback win over New Trier. Ellie Lazzaretto was brilliant once again with seven goals against the Red Devils, five goals and five draw controls against the Trevians and five more goals against St. Viator on Saturday. 2. New Trier (Ill.), 12-2
The Trevians dropped their second game of the season Thursday, falling 12-10 to the top team in the region in Loyola Academy. Aside from their two losses to the Ramblers, the Trevians have been dominant, including beating Glenbrook South (Ill.) and Evanston (Ill.) on the road this past week by double-digit margins. 3. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 17-0
After a first-round bye (and a full week without games), the Golden Bears begin their OHSAA tournament run at home against 14th-seeded Centerville. Upper Arlington is wonderfully balanced with no player scoring more than 50 goals through 17 games but six scoring between 25 and 50 goals in Camryn Callaghan (46), Rian Adkins (34), Kampbell Stone (33), Clara Gallapoo (32), Ava Walters (29) and Lilly Stelzer (27). 4. Hinsdale Central (Ill.), 7-1
There’s no time to mourn a 15-7 loss at Loyola, as the challenges will keep coming in the Red Devils’ loaded schedule. Thursday brings a trip to another top Land of Lincoln foe in New Trier, and then Loyola Academy pays a visit to Hinsdale next week. Previous: 4

A 9-3 run in the first half was enough to lead the Hornets past a tough Minnetonka (Minn.) squad May 11. Haley Reeck had another big performance against the previously undefeated Skippers, notching six goals, four forced turnovers and two assists, while Cordelia Flemming and Nicola Santoni added hat tricks. 6. Noblesville (Ind.), 13-2
Twelve different players scored in the Millers’ playoff opener, a 19-0 win over Fishers (Ind.), led by Emma Potter’s three goals, three assists, five draw controls and five ground balls. Chloe Barnett and Rheagan Haney tacked on hat tricks, and Mallory Miller recording six ground balls and four forced turnovers. Potter set single-season records for goals and ground balls in the win. 7. East Grand Rapids (Mich.), 16-2
The Pioneers won one close game after another last week, defeating Forest Hills Northern/Eastern (Mich.), Rockford (Mich.) and Brighton (Mich.) by a combined five goals. This week includes Senior Night festivities against Forest Hills Central on Wednesday evening. Previous: 7

The Greyhounds were dominant in their postseason opener, defeating Culver Academy (Ind.) 17-2. Anna Dumke had three goals and four assists, Hannah Kim scored four goals and Julia Cherubini also added a hat trick in the dominant victory. Previous: 9
9. Prior Lake (Minn.), 9-1
Down 8-7 at the half to Lakeville South (Minn.), the Lakers dominated the second stanza by a 6-1 margin en route to a 13-9 win. Payton Bloedow came up huge for Prior Lake with four goals, four assists and six ground balls, while Jade Haugen also had a hat trick. Previous: 10

1. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 3-0
The Mustangs outscored three opponents 54-3 last week, including a 20-0 shut out of Denver East (Colo.) in which Maya Kendall led with four goals and two assists and Jessie Bakes added four goals and one assist. Zoe Martin finished with three goals, Kendall Smart had three assists and Katharine Merrifield chipped in two goals and one assist. Previous: 1
2. Scripps Ranch (Calif.), 11-0
The Falcons bolstered their resume with another win over La Jolla (Calif.) 10-4 on Friday with Ella Brislin leading the attack with four goals and two assists. Leden Huber added three goals, and Ally Richardson-Pepper had eight saves in goal. Brislin had a big week overall, also adding five goals and one assist in a 14-5 win over Cathedral Catholic and seven goals and two assists in a 16-7 victory against La Costa Canyon (Calif.). Kayden Williamson added 12 points over those games on six goals and six assists, and Richardson-Pepper finished with 18 saves combined while allowing nine goals in the two games. Previous: 2
3. Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.), 11-0
The Knights added a pair of wins last week, beating Canyon (Calif.) 17-3 on Thursday before edging St. Margaret’s Episcopal (Calif.) 11-8 on Saturday. Elena Torres continued her impressive season with six goals and one assist against SME, while Zoey Stephens had four goals to go along with 11 ground balls. 4. San Ramon Valley (Calif.), 12-0
The Wolves completed their season, and the CIF North Coast Section will not be holding championships this year. Alannah Scott led SRV with 48 goals and eight assists, and Lauren Iorio added 33 goals and 20 assists. CoCo Wong won 73.7 percent of the draws she took and also tallied 25 goals and 24 assists. 5. Mercer Island (Wash.), 2-0
The Islanders outscored their two opponents 32-4 last week to open their season in dominant fashion. Annabelle Gersch led with 12 goals and five assists over the two games, while Molly Brodsky added eight goals and one assist. Lauren Novak made 11 saves on 15 shots on goal. Previous: 6
6. La Jolla (Calif.), 9-2
The Vikings flexed their muscles against a solid Torrey Pines (Calif.) team, churning out a 16-10 win on the road May 10, but they couldn’t turn the tide against Scripps Ranch on Friday. A week after falling to the Falcons at home by another six-goal margin, they lost 10-4 this time. Previous: 5
7. Fairview (Colo.), 4-0
The Knights impressed in their opening week with a win over preseason-ranked Cherry Creek (Colo.) and enter the top 10 after adding victories over Arapahoe (Colo.) and Golden (Colo.) last week. In the 14-4 decision against Golden, Cami Johnson led with four goals and two assists, while Isabela Bloomquist added two goals and four assists. 8. Newbury Park (Calif.), 10-1
The Panthers improved to 7-0 in Marmonte League play with a 16-8 win over Agoura last week in a game they trailed by several goals early. Senior captain Emma Ing powered them back with draw controls (eight for the night) and scoring (seven goals) to give Newbury Park a 9-6 halftime advantage. Tighter defense in the second half, led by Sophia Fadler and Dana Brown helped hold Agoura to two goals the rest of the way. The Dons have completed their season, as they don’t have any more games on their schedule. Celeste Murphy led the team with 18 goals and 11 assists in seven games, while Kalena Johnson had 18 goals and four assists. Previous: 8
10. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 10-3
The Falcons stay put despite another loss to La Jolla (Calif.). Their second loss to the Vikings was a much-improved showing from the first one, a 21-3 defeat in the opener March 23. This time, it was 16-10 with Reese Loseke powering the Torrey Pines’ attack with three goals and two assists. Kate Campbell added three goals and one assist, and Laurel Gonzalez had two goals and one assist. Previous: 10
