The Raiders are in position to defend their state championship after shutting out Oxbridge Academy (Fla.) in the second round of the FHSAA state play-in games and then beating Gulliver Prep 15-5 in the final round to advance to the state semifinals. The Longhorns remained unbeaten in Georgia with wins over Cambridge and Lovett last week. They have won nine straight since their lone loss to Calvert Hall (Md.), which was ranked No. 22 nationally last week. They wrap up the regular season this week. Previous: 3
4. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 12-4
The Crusaders lost three straight on an ambitious swing through the Maryland/D.C. area last week to conclude their regular season. They lost to national No. 7 Bullis (Md.) 10-4, No. 1 Landon (Md.) 8-5 and Paul VI (Va.) 14-9 but should be well-prepared for a run at another state title when the playoffs begin next week. 5. Centennial (Ga.), 13-3
The Knights went 2-1 at the Legacy Cup in Atlanta last week, beating Northview (Ga.) 15-6 and Christ School (N.C.) 15-14 in overtime. The loss was a 21-9 setback to IMG National (Fla.). Nicky Solomon had 10 goals and six assists in the three games, Ryan Siracusa scored eight goals, with four assists and Eric Cecere registered 43 saves. Luke Sadd won 11 of 19 faceoffs against IMG. 6. Episcopal Dallas (Texas), 14-0
The Eagles won four games in five days to win the Southwest Preparatory Conference lacrosse championship. They beat St. Mark’s (Texas) 13-7 in the championship game behind Nakeie Montgomery’s six goals and two assists. The ESD defense and goalie Prescott King held St. Mark’s to one second-half goal, as the Eagles claimed their fourth consecutive conference title. They have not lost to an SPC opponent in that time. 7. Weddington (N.C.), 15-1
The Warriors join the rankings as part of a bottom-half shakeup after picking up wins against Ardrey Kell (N.C.) and Marvin Ridge (N.C.) to close out the regular season. The NCHSAA playoffs begin next week. Previous: NR
8. Highland Park (Texas), 11-3
The Fighting Scots rejoin the rankings after picking up wins against Flower Mound (Texas) and Dallas Jesuit (Texas). The 7-5 win over Jesuit was particularly noteworthy and came with help from a dominant performance on the faceoff X from Kyle Massimilian, who went 11 of 16 for the game. 9. Louisville St. Xavier (Ky.), 13-2
The Tigers picked up convincing wins over Lexington Catholic (Ky.) and Lexington Henry Clay (Ky.) last week to join the rankings. Their losses this season were to Norfolk Academy (Va.), 11-5, and St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.), 15-12. Eleven of their wins came against teams with winning records. Previous: NR
10. Ponte Vedra (Fla.), 19-2
The Sharks’ promising season ended in an upset in the second round of the Florida state play-in games with an 11-9 loss to Lake Mary, which went on to beat Bolles and advance to the state semifinals. The Sharks’ only other loss was to Jupiter, and they had three strong out-of-state wins. Previous: 10

1. Culver Prep Academy (Ind.), 12-1
Culver survived a tough week with a dominating win over Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) on Saturday, followed by a tight 4-2 contest over Canadian powerhouse Hill Academy on Sunday. Jackson Reid led the offense over Detroit Catholic with six goals, while Matt Schmidt stood on his head with 11 saves against Hill. Previous: 1
2. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 9-0
Upper Arlington remained unbeaten after a 24-0 shutout at winless Newark (Ohio) on April 18, followed by a tight 8-7 win against Dublin Jerome (Ohio) on Friday. Sixteen different Golden Bears scored a goal in Upper Arlington’s win over Newark. Previous: 2
3. Cathedral (Ind.), 9-3
Cathedral went 3-0 last week with wins over Brebeuf Jesuit (Ind.), Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (Mich.) and Cincinnati Moeller (Ohio). Cathedral has matches against Culver Community (Ind.) and Zionsville (Ind.) this week. Previous: 3
4. Brother Rice (Mich.), 6-3
After dropping a tight 8-7 decision to Canandaigua (N.Y.) on Saturday, Brother Rice pulled off a stunning 10-9 upset over 2016 national champion Victor (N.Y.), snapping Victor’s 50-game winning streak that dated back to 2014. Brother Rice midfielder Jack Kelly scored six of the Warriors’ 10 goals against Victor. Previous: 5
5. St. Xavier (Ohio), 9-3
The Bombers are on a five-game winning streak after beating Mason (Ohio) 16-6 on Wednesday, and Worthington Kilbourne 16-7 on Saturday. Furman commitment Caleb Anderson had a five-goal performance against Mason, followed by a four-goal, five-assist effort against Kilbourne. Previous: 4

After dominating Ladue (Mo.) by a 23-1 ledger on April 18, MICDS beat rival DeSmet Jesuit (Mo.) on Thursday, 12-6. The Rams were led by goalie Joe Maguire, who posted 11 saves against DeSmet. Previous: 9

Rockford earned a spot in the Midwest Top 10 for the first time in 2016 after defeating previously unbeaten East Grand Rapids (Mich.) by an 8-7 margin on April 18. After a 5-0 start to the season, East Grand Rapids was bested by undefeated Rockford (Mich.) in an 8-7 decision April 18. The Pioneers bounced back with an 18-8 win over Holland West Ottawa (Mich.) and a 14-8 victory over Detroit Country Day (Mich.). East Grand Rapids’ Hub Hejna scored 13 goals last week, including eight against Holland West Ottawa. Previous: 6

After 11 days off, Detroit Catholic Central was overwhelmed by Culver Prep (Ind.), falling to the nationally-ranked Eagles 16-5 on Saturday. The Shamrocks bounced back with a 15-9 margin over De La Salle on Sunday. Previous: 7

The Wildcats collected their second win over a Top 25 team last week during an impressive 2-1 finish over a three-day stretch to make their own return to the national rankings. After a four-goal loss to No. 1 Landon (Md.), they bounced back with a 7-4 win over a strong Garden City (N.Y.) squad and beat No. 5 Chaminade (N.Y.) 11-10. 2. La Costa Canyon (Calif.), 11-1
The Mavericks stretched their win streak to nine games last week with a pair of victories. After edging Palos Verdes (Calif.) 8-7 on April 18, they added a 12-7 win over Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.) on Friday. 3. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 10-1
The Bruins continue to roll as they added three more victories last week, outscoring their opponents 55-4 to push their win streak to nine games. Sandwiched in between wins against Overland and Eaglecrest was a 17-2 decision over Mullen (Colo.), a game in which Griffin Gharrity had four goals and Asher Nolting posted two goals and three assists. 4. San Ramon Valley (Calif.), 15-2
The Wolves opened last week with a 15-4 over Redwood (Calif.), then outscored Livermore (Calif.) and Menlo (Calif.) 34-1. The only two games in which they’ve allowed more than seven goals were their losses to St. Ignatius and La Costa Canyon. Previous: 3
5. Mountain Vista (Colo.), 9-3
The Golden Eagles have two big wins since suffering their loss to Cherry Creek on April 7. After upsetting once-ranked No. 1 Torrey Pines (Calif.) to join the rankings last week, they hit defending state champion Regis Jesuit (Colo.) hard for an 8-5 win on April 18. Ryan Nunes led with three points on two goals and an assist, and Jonah Hirshom had 12 saves in goal. Mountain Vista gets a shot at avenging its two in-state losses early in May with games against Cherry Creek and Arapahoe (Colo.). Previous: 9
6. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 12-4
After a rough stretch in which they lost four of five games, the Falcons got a much needed morale booster in their lone contest last week. They beat rival and former West No. 6-ranked Poway (Calif.) 7-3 on Friday to regain some confidence heading into this week’s big match against La Costa Canyon. Previous: 10
7. Regis Jesuit (Colo.), 8-3
The Raiders dropped their first in-state loss April 18 against Mountain Vista (Colo.), losing 8-5 despite nine saves from Braden Host. No one had more than one points in the game for Regis, which bounced back with a 14-2 win over Rangeview (Colo.) the next day and added a 12-5 victory over nine-win Columbine (Colo.) on Saturday. 8. Bellevue (Wash.), 13-2
The Wolverines came back from a nine-day break and showed no rust in a 15-2 rout of Juanita (Wash.) on Friday. Cameron McMahon had four goals and one assist, and Brennan Moloney collected 14 groundballs to lead Bellevue. Previous: 7

An overtime scare against Bellarmine Prep (Calif.) must have woke the Sea Kings back up. They responded with a 12-4 win over St. Margaret’s Episcopal (Calif.) and 13-3 win over Marina (Calif.) last week. The Wolverines are back in the rankings after simply being squeezed out in recent weeks. They picked up a notable 11-9 win over Oak Park (Calif.) on April 19, then cruised to a 14-4 win over Sierra Canyon (Calif.) on Saturday.
