It must be Friars Week.

St. Anthony's (N.Y.) and Malvern Prep (Pa.) are the teams of note in this week's edition of the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Boys' National Top 25.

Coming off a big three-win week that included a 12-8 win over archrival Chaminade (N.Y.), Long Island's Friars skyrocketed from No. 22 to No. 8.

Philadelphia's Friars, meanwhile, are the only new team to join the rankings this week. Malvern Prep joins the fray at No. 22 on the strength of a four-game winning streak that includes a convincing win over previously unbeaten Avon Grove (Pa.).

Culver (Ind.), Darien (Conn.) and Brunswick (Conn.) continue to hold the top three spots, in that order, with McDonogh (Md.) and Loyola Blakefield (Md.) — who play each other in an MIAA showdown later today — rounding out the top five.
