In college, Selena Lasota was at or near the top of the lacrosse world, lighting up scoreboards and climbing the Northwestern scoring charts in the process.

She wrapped a stellar Northwestern career with 287 goals and 68 assists in 87 games spread over five seasons. The British Columbia product was an integral member of Canada’s U19 team in 2015, scoring three goals and two assists in a title-game upset of the United States in the U19 Women’s Lacrosse World Championships in Scotland.

An electric attacker who was also named to the Canada senior national team for the 2017 FIL World Cup, Lasota is now representing her Katzie First Nation roots by playing for the Iroquois Nationals in the World Lacrosse Super Sixes event coming to USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Oct. 23-24.

The Iroquois Nationals recently won the PALA Sixes Cup, although Lasota was not on that roster in early September.
