Spencer, Stover Power Loyola Past Virginia

Towson kicked off the season wearing throwback uniforms, but the Tigers will anxiously look forward to the rest of the season after a dominating 17-8 victory over No. 7 Johns Hopkins.

Hopkins led 4-2 after one quarter, taking the lead on freshman Joey Epstein's goal with 48 seconds remaining in the opening frame. It would be another 18 plus minutes of game time before the Blue Jays scored again. By that point, Towson had scored nine straight goals to take control.

Senior faceoff specialist Alex Woodall was a huge factor for Towson, winning 21-of-28 faceoffs to go along with a goal and two assists.

Brody McLean added three goals for Towson and junior goalie Tyler Canto made 10 saves in his debut for the Tigers.
