HOT
Tampa (no change)
There’s nowhere else for Tampa to rise, but the Spartans are playing some of the best lacrosse seen in the Sunshine State in years. Tampa owns three straight wins over ranked teams (Rollins, Florida Tech, Florida Southern) by an average of 5.3 goals per game.
Limestone (no change)
The Saints are looking very much like the teams that used to dominate Division II schedules and advance to the NCAA title game with ease. Since an overtime loss to Wingate in early March, Limestone has scored 18.9 goals per game in seven straight victories.
NOT
Saint Anselm (-2)
The Hawks have lost four of six games, including an overtime decision to Franklin Pierce last week. A 3-3 record in NE10 is not what Saint Anselm anticipated to start the conference schedule, but this team is still full of talent.
IN
Roberts Wesleyan (No. 17)
The Hawks have only lost one game this season, and it came against the defending national champions. Yes, the Roberts Wesleyan schedule has not featured a single ranked team outside of Le Moyne, but it passed a test from Frostburg in overtime and has had seven wins by more than seven goals.
Colorado Mesa (No. 18)
It’s been an up and down season for the Mavericks, but three straight victories has Colorado Mesa confident heading into the thick of its RMAC slate. Colorado Mesa is a high-scoring team heading into a weekend matchup with rival Rockhurst.
OUT
Seton Hill (was No. 20)
The Griffins were clinging to a spot in the rankings last week, but a two-goal loss to Mercyhurst bumps them out for now. Seton Hill has five losses on the season, and its top wins include Frostburg and Lake Erie. Tampa awaits on April 23 and a change to turn it all around.
Bentley (was No. 19)
A midweek win over American International was not enough to keep the Falcons in the rankings this week. The loss to a Saint Anselm team looks a little weaker given the Hawks’ recent struggles. Bentley gets No. 2 Le Moyne on Tuesday and No. 15 Pace on Saturday with a chance to jump right back in.
