With only five games played last week involving Top 20 teams, there was very little movement in this week’s Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women's Top 20. In fact, there were no changes in the top 10, with Lindenwood maintaining its claim to No. 1, followed by UIndy, LeMoyne, Adelphi and West Chester to round out the top five.

Due to the delayed start of the 2021 season for many teams, 13 of the top 20 squads have yet to play their first games. The good news is that three more teams are scheduled to make their debuts this week. No. 7 East Stroudsburg welcomes Frostburg State, No. 13 Mercy hosts St. Thomas Aquinas and No. 18 New Haven meets American International.

HOT

Regis (+2)

The Rangers rebounded nicely from their opening loss to top-ranked Lindenwood with a pair of victories last week, defeating McKendree and Westminster. Junior Alexis Parker tallied a team-high five goals in the 17-8 win over McKendree. Regis then dominated Westminster from start to finish for a 17-3 win in its home opener, with nine players scoring at least once.

NOT

Limestone (no change)

The Saints didn’t lose on the field, and in fact, won their only game, posting a 14-4 road victory at Catawba to improve to 4-0 on the season. But last Friday, Limestone announced the postponement of at least its next two games due to a positive COVID-19 test within the program. The announcement did not specify whether the positive test was among players or other team personnel, but did note that it was specific to the women’s lacrosse team and that no other teams at Limestone had been affected.
