There are five undefeated teams remaining in Division II, and they all reside among the top six slots in this week’s Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20. For the fourth straight week, Queens sits at the top and owns the nation’s longest winning streak at 13 games.

The Royals are trailed by No. 2 UIndy, which has won 12 straight, and No. 3 East Stroudsburg, which stands 11-0. For the first time this season, there were no losses by any of the top 10 teams during the previous week.

There was some movement in the lower half of the ranking, with No. 13 Stonehill and No. 16 Wingate among the climbers and No. 15 Embry-Riddle and No. 17 Mercy among those that dropped.

Games of note this week include No. 3 East Stroudsburg hosting No. 8 West Chester in a major PSAC showdown, as well as Stonehill visiting No. 14 Pace in the NE10 and No. 11 Florida Southern at No. 15 Embry-Riddle in the SSC.

HOT

Stonehill (+3)

There was big news coming out of Easton, Mass., last week, as Stonehill announced that it would be transitioning to NCAA Division I and joining the Northeast Conference with the start of the 2022-23 academic year. As a charter member of the NE10, the Skyhawks are also trying to end their D-II run in style. A career-high seven goals by sophomore Molly Mae Hughes helped Stonehill defeat No. 19 St. Rose to improve to 6-1 in league play, good for second place behind undefeated Adelphi.

Wingate (+2)

One week after moving into the ranking for the first time this year, the Bulldogs continue their climb upward after adding two more SAC wins. Wingate has won five straight games and is 7-1 in SAC play, trailing only No. 1 Queens in the league standings.

NOT

Mercy (-3)

The Mavericks have lost two of their last three, with both losses coming in non-conference matchups against PSAC foes. The second of those defeats was against No. 8 West Chester, and the 21 goals allowed by Mercy in that game were the most in seven seasons.

Embry-Riddle (-3)

It was a heartbreaking week for the Eagles, who had their school-record 11-game winning streak snapped by a pair of one-goal losses. ERAU lost 11-10 to No. 5 Rollins, as the Tars scored the game-winner with 52 seconds remaining, then fell to No. 18 Lynn 16-15 on another late game-winner. The Eagles host No. 11 Florida Southern in an important SSC match-up on Friday.

IN

Lynn (No. 18)

Goalie Ciara Moorman’s season-high 14 saves helped guide Lynn to its upset win over Embry-Riddle and its seventh win in eight games. Lynn has a chance to capture back-to-back victories over ranked opponents and secure another statement win when it welcomes No. 5 Rollins on Wednesday.

Limestone (No. 19)

After starting the season in the Top 20 and climbing as high as No. 10 at one point, the Saints dropped out of the poll last month following three straight losses. Limestone has now won seven straight games and returns to the ranking after a four-week hiatus. The Saints have a chance to make further noise this week when they visit No. 1 Queens in a showdown for first place in the SAC race.

OUT

St. Rose (was No. 19)

One week after recording arguably the biggest win in the program’s brief history and moving into the ranking for the first time, the Golden Knights fall back out with back-to-back losses against Stonehill and Franklin Pierce.

Davenport (was No. 20)

The Panthers suffered a pair of losses last week, losing to No. 10 Lindenwood and then falling again three days later at unranked Concordia-St. Paul. They have a chance to register a statement GLIAC win this week when they host No. 7 Grand Valley State.
