Le Moyne is the dominant team in Division II lacrosse, as evidenced by its 15-11 victory over Wingate on Sunday at Homewood Field. The Dolphins opened their season against the No. 2 team in the country and proved they’re just as much a threat as they have been for the past half-decade.
The No. 1 spot in this week’s Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine Top 20 is accounted for, but there was movement behind Le Moyne. Tampa topped Lenoir-Rhyne in another top-10 battle, and UIndy got past Newberry last week, paving the way for both to move up.
The biggest upset of last week came when Queens dominated Mount Olive 16-6 behind six points from Kealan Pilon. Although the win counts as an upset according to rankings, the Royals actually own the 5-2 advantage historically against the Trojans.

Queens (N.C.) (+5)
The Royals got off to a hot start and held the Mount Olive offense in check throughout. Through three games, the Queens offense ranks second in Division II with 18.5 goals per game.
Limestone (+3)
The Saints are looking like their high-powered offenses of the mid-2010s, pouring in 49 goals in three games. Limestone passed its first challenge with a 12-11 victory over Florida Southern, a game in which it scored the final three goals to come back.

Mount Olive (-7)
After dispatching Coker and Catawba, Mount Olive ran into a potent Queens offense and lost 16-6. The Trojans got off 35 shots but converted only six of those looks. Mount Olive also committed 24 turnovers.

Bentley (No. 19)
Bentley joins the Top 20 thanks to a loss from Rockhurst and a few stumbles among teams on the outside looking in. The Falcons got their season started with a 13-4 win over Georgian Court and don’t play again until March 6 against St. Michael’s.

Rockhurst (was No. 20)
After a promising 2-0 start, Rockhurst was dominated by a common opponent in Lindenwood. The Great Lakes Valley Conference foe dropped 20 goals on Rockhurst, highlighted by a 7-0 third quarter.
