The third edition of the Premier Lacrosse League's Sixes-style Championship Series returns Feb. 11-17 at The St. James in Springfield, Va., and the league announced the full rosters on Tuesday for each of the four teams participating.
The top four teams from the summer season participate in the Championship Series, and this will be the first year in which the previous summer champion (the Utah Archers) and the previous Championship Series champion (the Boston Cannons) compete at the same time.
For the first time, rosters will included a 13th player to help ensure player health and safety. Active gameday rosters will still be 12 players, including two goalies, but having a 13th player on hand should prove critical. Past Championship Series have shown that wear and tear is real in a truncated sixes tournament.
