Andy Towers and his entire coaching staff have left their posts on the Carolina Chaos, as Dan Arestia first reported Thursday night. The report was later confirmed by Kevin Brown of Inside Lacrosse.
According to Arestia, sources near the team claimed that the Premier Lacrosse League asked Towers to replace a member of his staff, and Towers refused.
In an apparent sign of solidarity, the entire staff will step down. It is unclear who the member of the staff in question is. The PLL lists Jamie Hanford and Matt Panetta as Towers' assistants.
One of the most energetic and popular personalities in the PLL's existence, Towers leaves the PLL as a 2021 league champion. The Chaos were league semifinalists in 2020 and 2022.
The PLL has yet to announce the news as of 9:30 a.m. Eastern on Friday.
