Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The National Lacrosse League’s 37th season starts in two days.

The subject of a new docuseries on Prime Video, the San Diego Seals got the Jack Goods  treatment Tuesday as part of our 2023-24 NLL preview. Is the clock ticking?

2. The Toronto Rock placed Tom Schreiber on injured reserve Monday.

It’s the latest development in an up-and-down year for Captain America, whose summer run as Premier Lacrosse League MVP and championship game hero was inspired by the death of his high school teammate and friend.

3. The Boston Cannons and Maryland Whipsnakes executed the first PLL trade since the home city splash.

Signaling a look toward its future, the Whipsnakes traded defensive mainstay Bryce Young and midfielder Connor Kirst to the Cannons for long-stick midfielder Matt Rees and third-round picks in the next two drafts.

The Whips also extended goalie Brendan Krebs through 2025.
