A five-goal lead in the fourth quarter almost wasn’t enough as Syracuse held off a late charge to edge previously unbeaten Loyola 14-13 in women’s lacrosse on Tuesday night at the Carrier Dome. Loyola appeared to have tied the game with 12 seconds left, but a charging call negated the goal. Emma Tyrrell had four goals and three assists for Syracuse and Kimber Hower made a career-high 12 saves. Jillian Wilson scored three of her four goals for Loyola in the fourth quarter and Livy Rosenzweig also scored four times for the Greyhounds.
