Penn scored nine goals in the first half and used that strong opening 30 minutes to carry itself to a 15-11 victory over Cornell in a Top 10 Ivy League matchup at historic Franklin Field on Saturday. Jamie Zusi won 21 of 29 faceoffs to help control the action for Penn and Sam Handley had a team-best six points on three goals and three assists. Patrick Burkinshaw made 16 saves for the Quakers who finally had some breathing room after their first five games were decided by one or two goals. John Piatelli led Cornell with four goals and was one of three members of the Big Red to post five points in the game.
