Gary Gait’s first game as head coach of his alma mater’s men’s lacrosse program was a resounding success. Syracuse scored nine first quarters goals, 19 in the first half and cruised past Holy Cross 28-5 in the Carrier Dome. Six different Orange players scored multiple goals, led by Tucker Dordevic and Owen Seebold with five goals each while Brendan Curry added four goals and two assists. Jakob Phaup won 15 of 18 faceoffs for the Orange and Bobby Gavin made eight saves while allowing just three first-half goals to pick up his first Syracuse victory.
