Trailing by five goals with under 11 minutes to play, Virginia rallied to beat Maryland 13-12 in overtime to advance to the NCAA semifinal round for the first time since 2011. Matt Moore scored the game-winning goal after Virginia tied the game on a controversial goal with 1:14 left in the fourth quarter. Ryan Conrad (4g, 1a) and Michael Krauss (1g, 4a) each had five points for the Cavaliers and Ian Lavianao scored three times. Jared Bernhardt and Anthony DeMaio each scored four times for Maryland.
