Penn State raced out to an 8-1 lead after the opening quarter and held off Maryland 13-10 in a Sunday Night showdown on the Big Ten Network to beat the Terrapins for the first time as a varsity program. Gerard Arceri won 18 of 26 faceoffs to help power the Penn State offense, which was led by Jack Kelly with three goals and an assist. Mac O'Keefe also had four points with two goals and two assists.
