North Carolina overcame a 5-0 deficit out of the gates to hand No. 1 Boston College its first loss of the season, a 15-13 setback in the ACC championship game. It was the fourth consecutive ACC championship for the Tar Heels, and the second year in a row that BC fell in the ACC final for its first loss. Katie Hoeg had three goals and two assists for the Tar Heels, one of three UNC players with a hat trick, joining Gianna Bowe and Tayler Warehime. Sam Apuzzo led Boston College with three goals.
