Loyola became the first team to officially punch a ticket to the NCAA tournament, beating Lehigh 15-8 in the Patriot League championship game. Tied 5-5 at the half, Loyola ripped off six straight goals to open the second half and take command of the game. Jacob Stover made 12 saves and Loyola got big offensive games from Jay Drapeau (4g), John Duffy (3g, 2a), Kevin Lindley (3g) and Pat Spencer (1g, 4a). Lehigh was led by Andrew Pettit with four goals.
