Maryland opened its season with an offensive statement, racking up 23 goals in a 23-12 win over High Point last Saturday in College Park.

Maryland averaged 36.1 shots per game last season. In this one, Maryland had 36 shots in the first half on the way to a 70-shot barrage that ended with Maryland’s highest-scoring output since a 23-6 win over Mount St. Mary’s in 2013.
